Our Sundays

Sundays at Lakeland BPC are centered on Christ, Scripture, and community. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with warmth, worship, and the Word. Discover what a typical Sunday looks like and how you can join us in glorifying God together.

We encourage our guests to park in the grass lot to the right of the building.

As you enter the front of our building, you’ll find our welcoming area. A member from our church will certainly greet you with a fresh cup of coffee.

After a few announcements, our service begins in the sanctuary with a responsive reading of Scripture, usually some verses of a Psalm. Then 15-20 minutes of worship music led by the LBPC Music team. This time includes prayers, scripture readings, and a greeting from one of our leaders.

After some worship songs, we prepare for the Sermon by reading the passage from the Bible. Our pastor will invite the children to come forward. This is the part of the Sermon in which the Word will be applied to our little ones. After that, they will go back to sit with their families and the pastor will continue to preach the Word to everyone. Our Sermons are expositions of portions of the Bible which will be taught verse by verse through a book of the Bible, then it will be applied to our lives to help us live according to God’s Word.

We take the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month, a time for those who have put their faith in Jesus. It’s a reminder of Christ’s sacrifice and our unity as His body.

We end with a song of reflection after the sermon. Then, we receive the benediction, and we are sent out to “go and be the church” in our communities.
