14 Jan THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

 Imagine a 100 year old man married with a barren 90 year old woman being told that he and his wife would have a son! Would that be possible? 

That happened with Abraham. Actually, God told him to leave his tent by the dark night at the wilderness and number the stars; and as Abraham realized it was an impossible task, God told him, “so shall your offspring be.” 

The great patriarch Abraham had indeed a great offspring, however, it is even greater than what comes from his blood; because through the blood of One of his descendants, the true Son of the Promise, “all families of the earth shall be blessed.” Or, as the New Testament say, all who believe in Jesus Christ are, by faith, sons of Abraham and thus, heirs of the Promises of God.
