12 Nov A NEWBORN AND THE HOPE OF THE WORLD
America has slaughtered more innocent lives through abortion than all the wars in the history of the world combined.
The numbers are shocking! We need to put an end in this horrifying reality.
In the biblical book of Ruth, disobedience brought death to Naomi’s house, and all that was left to her was a Moabite daughter-in-law and a heart full of bitterness. So far, she had learned “the wages of sin in death.”
When Ruth met Boaz, however, things started to change. He presented himself as a Redeemer for the family, bringing hope even for the future of the dead.
That’s right: hope for the future of the dead. A child was born to keep on the name of that family whose men had died because of sin. So, they learned that “the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.”
That little one in Ruth’s arms would be the grandfather of King David, thus an ancestor of the Lord Jesus Christ, the baby King, who would take away the sins of those who trust in Him.
For this wicked generation that kills babies in such an open way, we only have one message of hope:
2,000 years ago, there was a young lady who got pregnant in hard circumstances, and keeping the baby transformed her into the mother of the One who saved her life, and that One, Jesus Christ, can also save yours.
Trust in Him, and remember the hope a little baby can bring to your life!
